One day a girl came across a cocoon and realized that a butterfly was trying to hatch. She waited and watched the butterfly fight for hours to free itself from the small hole. Suddenly, the butterfly stopped moving, it seemed to be stuck.

The girl decided to help get the butterfly out. She went home to look for scissors to open the cocoon. The butterfly was able to escape easily, however, its body was swollen and its wings were underdeveloped.

The girl still thought that she had done the butterfly a favor while sitting waiting for her wings to grow to support her body. However, that was not happening. The butterfly was unable to fly, and for the rest of its life, it could only move by crawling with small wings and a large body.

Despite the girl’s good intentions, she did not understand that the restriction of the butterfly’s cocoon and the struggle the butterfly had to go through to escape served an important purpose. As butterflies emerge from tight cocoons, she forces her body fluid onto her wings to prepare them for flight.
The value of the story: The struggles you face in life help you grow and become stronger. There is often a reason behind the requirement to work hard and be persistent. By enduring difficult times, you will develop the necessary strength you will need in the future.
Without problems, you will not grow, which means that it is very important to take on personal challenges for yourself instead of depending on other people to always help you.
